Resignation of Vice Mayor Ellahie
Vice Mayor Javed Ellahie resigned from the Monte Sereno City Council effective August 5, 2025. Vice Mayor Ellahie joined the Council December 2018, served as the Mayor in 2022, and was reelected for a second Council term December 2022. Vice Mayor Ellahie’s dedicated service to the City has been much appreciated.
At the August 19, 2025 City Council meeting, the Council will consider options to fill this vacant Councilmember seat, either a special election or appointment. Meetings are held at 7:00pm in the Council Chambers, City Hall, 18041 Saratoga Los Gatos Road, Monte Sereno. Participation is also available online through zoom.
