Monte Sereno General Plan Update
The Safety Policy Framework is now online! This document outlines Monte Sereno's safety policy direction, specifically concerning wildfire mitigation and evacuation. It proposes updated goals and policies based on the 2008 General Plan, as well as updates to incorporate updates to State law and climate science.
You can review this document and more on the project website, as well as provide your thoughts and input on the ongoing process. The project team is planning to bring forward a public review draft of the Safety Element in fall 2025 and the adoption of the rest of the General Plan Update in the summer 2026. The schedule can be viewed on the project website.
The Safety-focused survey is still open to responses!
Your involvement is a crucial part of this process. This survey provides important data on emergency evacuation plans, fire resistant measures, and the safety improvements you wish to see in the future. Your experiences and input will provide guidance to which the goals, policies, and actions will be oriented towards.
