Know any high-school students interested in climate advocacy or community engagement? SVYCA is now accepting applications for our 2026 Summer Youth Leadership Academy.
The Academy is free, but spaces are limited.
In three weeks, attendees will learn essential leadership skills as well as the basics of climate science, community organization, and policy advocacy.
2026 Leadership AcademyDate/Time: Monday-Friday, July 6th-24th, 10 am - 2:30 pm Location: 1290 Ridder Park Drive, San Jose, California Eligibility: Incoming 9th-12th grades. Applications close April 22nd Cost: FREE, snacks and lunch provided NOTE: Space is limited and preference will be given to early applicants. Supercharge Your AdvocacyOur first Youth Climate Leadership Academy will teach you everything you need to know about climate change, movement building, community organizing, and advocacy. Focus on Climate Action: Gain the knowledge and tools necessary to take action on climate change issues. Leadership Development: Participate in workshops on leadership skills like public speaking, project management, and coalition building. Community Engagement: Learn from community stakeholders and about local projects related to environmental sustainability. |
