Notice is hereby given that the City of Monte Sereno is accepting applications from residents wishing to serve on the City’s Site and Architectural Commission.
The purpose of the Site and Architectural Commission is to review and regulate the aesthetic and functional aspects of structures. The Commission specifically reviews conceptual plans for new development. Currently the Commission meets at 7:00 p.m. the first Wednesday of every month at City Hall.
The Commission consists of five (5) members and is currently recruiting to fill two (2) seats. Two (2) of the appointed members shall serve a full two–year term expiring December 31, 2027.
All members of the Commission shall be residents and registered voters of the City and have particular interest in and familiarity with planning matters. The City Council will consider selecting members for the Commission who have backgrounds, experience, and/or interest in architecture, planning, construction, landscaping and knowledge of the City’s General Plan.
The Commission falls under the Political Reform Act of 1974 and financial disclosure is required.
