Hands Only CPR/AED & Choking Relief
Thursday, June 12, 2025 from 10:00 am - 11:30 am (90-minute In-Person Course)
Location: Monte Sereno City Hall
Instructor: Santa Clara County Fire Department Staff
Participants will learn how to perform high quality compressions on an adult, child, and infant utilize an automatic external defibrillator (AED), and aid someone who is choking. Most often, citizens will need to perform CPR on family, friends or co-workers. Learn how to perform proper compressions and use an AED in the precious moments before first responders arrive.
You will not learn breathing (head tilt, chin lift) in this class. This course focuses on high quality compressions and how to use and AED. Participants will receive a pocket mask and travel first aid kit.
Participants will receive a course completion certificate - *not* a two-year CPR/AED certification card.
This is not a Heartsaver CPR/AED class.

This American Heart Association (AHA) Heartsaver® CPR/AED course is provided by the Santa Clara County Fire Department.
The Heartsaver® CPR/AED course includes:
- Adult, Child & Infant CPR training
- How to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
- How to assist someone who is choking
- 2-year Heartsaver® CPR/AED AHA course completion card
- CPR Manual
NOTE: This is not a BLS HeartCode® course for Healthcare Providers or First Responders.
IMPORTANT: If you need a ACLS, BLS or PALS CPR class - do not purchase this class.
