Safety Classes

The Santa Clara County Fire Department is excited to offer valuable safety classes to our community members and residents.

  • The first set of safety classes prepare you for a Home Emergency. Different topics include:  Be Ready: Be Prepared for Disasters; Crime Prevention & Home Fire Safety; Fall Prevention & Wellness Resources; and Are You Prepared for a Medical Emergency?

  • Another set of safety classes is Safe Sitter Essentials with CPR. This one-day class is designed to prepare students in grades 6-8 to be safe when they're home alone watching younger siblings or babysitting.

  • Next are Fire Safety Classes for Preschoolers ages 3-6 years old. These classes are fun, free, live, online, and interactive.

  • Finally Hands Only CPR & AED Classes teach you how to do Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/chest compressions, use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and help someone who is choking.
