Notice is hereby given that the City of Monte Sereno is accepting applications from Monte Sereno residents wishing to serve on the Valley Transportation Authority Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee (VTA BPAC).
The VTA BPAC is an advisory committee to the Santa Clara County Board of Directors. The VTA BPAC provides expertise and guidance to the Board of Directors on promoting and enhancing non-motorized transportation opportunities throughout Santa Clara County and serves as liaison between VTA and the City of Monte Sereno bicycle and pedestrian advisory committees. The VTA BPAC shall have no independent duties and no authority to take actions that bind VTA or the Santa Clara County Board of Directors.
The VTA BPAC consists of 16 voting members and one ex-officio member who are bicyclists or pedestrians. The Santa Clara County Board of Directors shall ratify the appointment of the City of Monte Sereno member. The applicant recommended by the Monte Sereno City Council to the VTA BPAC shall live in Monte Sereno during their term on the Committee. The term of membership is July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2024.
