
Evert Wolsheimer moved to the Bay Area in 1982 from The Netherlands, and became a US citizen in 2000. He and his family have lived in Monte Sereno since 2002.
Evert had a career spanning more than 25 years in the semiconductor industry, and held executive positions at Philips, LSI Logic, Xilinx and Summit Microelectronics, both in the US and in Europe. He holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Delft University in The Netherlands.
He has served on the Board of Directors of several non-profit and industry organizations, such as the GSA (Global Semiconductor Association) and the YWCA of Silicon Valley. He served on the Monte Sereno Site and Architecture Commission from 2010 until 2015 and on the City Council from 2015 until 2018. He was re-elected to the City Council in November 2022.
Evert's interests include photography, art and travel.
I'm honored to be back on the Council. I will work hard to maintain the character of our beautiful City, and I look forward to hearing the input and feedback from Monte Sereno residents.
