9.07.020 Outside construction or repair work—When prohibited, emergency work exception.

It shall be unlawful for any person to operate equipment or perform any outside construction or repair work on any building, structure, project, or use any pneumatic hammer, steam or electric hoist, backhoe, bulldozer, or dump truck or other construction type device before the hour of 8:00 a.m. or after 8:00 p.m., on any Monday through Friday; or before the hours of 9:00 a.m. or after the hour of 5:00 p.m., on any Saturday; or at any time on any Sunday or public holiday. For the purposes of this Chapter, “public holiday” shall mean each day designated by resolution of the Monte Sereno City Council as an official holiday. If the City Manager finds evidence that an emergency exists that imperils the public safety, the City Manager may direct the construction or maintenance work to proceed during such hours as may be necessary for the duration of the emergency.
