9.01.040 Amendments to the 2007 California Building Standards Code, Part 4, known as the California Mechanical Code.

Based upon the foregoing findings, Part 4, of the California Building Standards Code, known as the California Mechanical Code is hereby amended in the following manner:
The following Appendices from the Uniform Mechanical Code, 2006 Edition, are hereby adopted: Chapter 1 — Administration; A — Uniform Mechanical Code Standards.
A. 2007 California Mechanical Code Appendix Chapter 1 - Administration.
1. Section 114.4 “Expiration” is amended to add ...or if the work authorized by such permit is suspended or abandoned at any time after the work is commenced for a period of one hundred eighty (180) days, or if the owner or his/her agent fails to request an inspection within one hundred eighty (180) days of the previous inspection or the date of the permit issuance and fails to demonstrate to the building official significant progress toward completion of the project.
2. Section 115.1 “General” is hereby amended to read:
“Fees shall be assessed in accordance with the provisions of this section. The fees are to be determined based on the fee schedule adopted by the City of Monte Sereno City Council.”

3. Section 115.2 “Permit Fees” is hereby amended to read:
“The fee for each permit shall be based on the fee schedule adopted by the City of Monte Sereno City Council.”

4. Section 115.3 “Plan Review Fees” last paragraph is hereby amended to read:
“When plans are incomplete or changed so as to require additional plan review, an additional fee shall be charged based on the fee schedule adopted by the City of Monte Sereno City Council.”
