SUBJECT:The City Council will hold public hearings to consider taking the following actions:

Consider a Resolution approving the Certificate of Correction to a Final Map for 16005 Greenwood Road to remove a note referring to the requirement for a joint driveway thus allowing a second driveway on Greenwood Road.

Introduce and Hold First Reading of An Ordinance Of The City Of Monte Sereno Amending Chapter 10.01, Section 10.01.020(P) Specific Terms by amending the definition of “floor area”, Chapter 13.04, Section 13.04.080(D) Hillside Subdivisions and Scenic Corridors and Section 13.04.030(B)(2) by inserting the Site & Architectural Commission as a recommending body on site and architectural review for new subdivisions within the hillsides and scenic corridor/highway, and inserting Section 10.08.055 – Concurrent Processing to give the authority and clarify the Site & Architectural Commissions role in the review and recommendation of applications associated with other applications to be acted on solely by the City Council.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING TO DESTROY WEEDS AND BRUSH AND REMOVE DIRT, RUBBISH AND OTHER HAZARDOUS MATERIAL
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on May 7, 2019 pursuant to the provisions of Section 8.02.050 of the Monte Sereno Municipal Code, the City Council has adopted a Resolution declaring that weeds, brush, dirt, rubbish and/or other hazardous materials are present in such a manner as to constitute a public nuisance and that the removal of this nuisance is important enough to the public safety that abatement.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that property owners shall, within thirty (30) days after the adoption of such resolution, or within the time specified in a written agreement with the City Manager or his representatives, whichever time shall be later, destroy or remove all such weeds, brush, dirt, rubbish and other hazardous material from their property, the abutting sidewalks, and the abutting half of the street in front and alleys, if any, behind such property, and between the lot lines thereof as extended, or such weeds, brush, dirt, rubbish and other hazardous material will be destroyed or removed and such nuisance abated by the City of Monte Sereno. Should the City be required to abate the nuisance, the cost of such destruction or removal will be assessed upon the lots and lands from which, or from the front or rear of which, such weeds, brush, dirt, rubbish or other hazardous material shall have been destroyed or removed; and such cost will constitute a lien upon such lots or lands until paid, and will be collected upon the next tax roll upon which general municipal taxes are collected.
All property owners having any objections to the proposed destruction or removal of such weeds, brush, dirt, rubbish or other hazardous material are hereby notified to attend a meeting of the City Council of the City of Monte Sereno, to be held on June 18, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, 18041 Saratoga-Los Gatos Road, Monte Sereno, Ca when and where their objections be heard and given due consideration.

If you challenge the above action in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the Public Hearing described in this Notice or in written correspondence delivered to the City of Monte Sereno (18041 Saratoga-Los Gatos Road, Monte Sereno, CA) at, or prior to the close of the hearing. Any challenge in court must be commenced within 90 days of the decision as required by section 1094.6 of the California Code of Civil Procedure.
